Individual Traditional Pattern
All competitors will perform one traditional pattern of their choice. The pattern can be from any martial art and may include the use of wooden weapons. The judges will be looking for power, technique, balance, focus, control and fluidity of motion. Marks will be awarded and medals presented at the end of the days events.
One Step Sparring
Each competitor will a partner three different techniques making a total of six. Each competitor may duplicate their partner’s technique or perform a different one. Taking it in turns each competitor will step forward performing a forward punch, the partner will take evasive action and then counter attack. Throws take downs or weapons are not permitted in this category. The judges will be looking for power, technique, balance, focus, control, and effectiveness of the techniques. Marks will be awarded and medals presented at the end of the days events.
Self Defence
Each competitor will perform with a partner three different techniques making a total of six, or they may perform a small demonstration which should last no longer than two minutes. Throws and take downs are permitted in this category. Wooden weapons and props will also be permitted. The judges will be looking for power, balance, technique, focus, control and effeteness of the techniques. Marks will be awarded and medals presented at the end of the days events.
Flying side kick
Each competitor will perform a flying side kick. To work out the score we will divide the height jumped by the competitors height and multiply by 100 to give a percentage. Marks will be awarded and medals presented at the end of the days events.
Team Event
Each team will consist of between three and six people. All members of the team must participate. Each team must perform TWO events from the list below. Judges will be looking for power, technique, balance, focus, control, and fluidity of motion and where applicable synchronicity. In one step all competitors must be on the floor at the same time so if this option is picked the team must have an even number?
Team Event - Synchronised Traditional Pattern. Each team must perform ONE traditional pattern. The start position must also be traditional. The team may use weapons in this event.
Team Event - One Step Sparring Each team member must perform two one step sparring techniques. The techniques can be Synchronised or different. All competitors must compete at the same time.
Team Event - Self Defence All members of the team must perform self defence techniques either in a traditional one on one basis or as a demonstration. The time limit for this event is two minutes.
Team Event - Demonstration For this event the team may perform a demonstration of Martial Arts, this may include breaking, weapons, freestyle pattern (no music) etc, the time limit will be two minutes.

Category 2 - Upto and including 10 years of age 5th Kup and onwards
Category 3 - 11 years, upto and including 17 years 10th - 6th Kup
Category 4 - 11 years, upto and including 17 years 5th - 1st Kup
Category 5 - 11 years, upto and including 17 years Black Belts
Category 6 - 18 years and over 10th - 6th Kup
Category 7 - 18 years and over 5th - 1st Kup
